Hello, my name is Himanshu, and I’m creating this fundraiser with deep humility and hope for the person who means the world to me, my mother.
She has been bravely battling Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) for some time now, but recently her condition has worsened. The disease has led to severe intestinal swelling, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue, and most painfully she is now unable to properly digest food. Even simple meals cause intense discomfort and weakness. Her weight is dropping, her energy is fading, and we’re running out of time.
After months of consultations, medications, and tests, her doctors have recommended surgery to remove the severely affected parts of her intestines. It’s the only option left not just for recovery, but for survival.
What We’re Facing Financially:
Despite doing everything we can as a family, the cost of this critical medical care is overwhelming. Here’s the estimated breakdown of what lies ahead:
Consultations, medications & basic treatments: $200 – $1,200
Diagnostic tests (endoscopy, colonoscopy, imaging): $500 – $800
Complex surgery (to treat intestinal swelling): $9,000 – $10,000
Post-surgical hospital stay, supplies, and recovery care: $1,800 – $4,800
Emergency care & complications (if they arise): +$2,000 – $3,000
These aren’t just bills they represent her chance at healing and living without pain.
My mother has always been our family’s strength generous, caring, and endlessly selfless. Watching her suffer day after day has been heartbreaking. We’re doing everything we can emotionally and physically but financially, we need help.
