Urgent: Annavelle’s Long-Awaited Surgery

My name is Annavelle and I live in Iowa. I’ve been out as a trans woman since 2015. I was set to have gender-affirming vaginoplasty surgery on 7/17/2025, but a state bill was signed into law as of 6/13 (nearly a month before my surgery) that will prohibit Medicaid from covering all medical HRT treatments starting 7/1. I’m setting up this fundraiser as a last ditch effort to save my surgery.

Please, any amount would help. I’ve waited so long for this surgery, and I’m too close only for it to be taken away so suddenly.
