(I am doing everything myself)
Hi, my name is Ravi — and I’m reaching out with deep pain and hope.
I came to Canada with big dreams. I was working full-time toward my PR.
But everything changed when I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a painful autoimmune disease affecting my spine and pelvis, and also inactive bacteria in my body.
Now I can’t even do basic tasks. I’m in constant pain, have been loosing weight rapidly, can’t stand for long, and can’t lift anything heavy— which means I’ve lost my ability to work and the path I was holding on to for a better future. All doors feel closed to me right now.
The worst part is — I’m not getting proper treatment due to long wait times and financial struggles:
MRI isn’t until February 2026
Respirology appointment is next month
I’m in pain daily. I can’t work anymore. I’ve used up all my savings just trying to get by.
And now, I’m torn — either I ask for help here, or become a burden on my parents who are in their 60s and fully dependent on me.
Even creating this fundraiser doesn’t feel right — I never thought I’d be here. But I have no choice.
I’m trying to raise funds for:
Basic medications
Food, bills, and rent
Travel to medical appointments
Some days, I feel like giving up — not because I want to, but because I don’t see a way forward.
If you’ve read this far — thank you.
Even a small donation or a share means more than you know.
With gratitude,
Ravi
