I’m an over-the-road trucker who had a heart attack on June 7th, 2025. I have no insurance and have been off work since the day I had the attack. Medical bills are piling up, and I don’t see going back to work anytime soon. I have been an over-the-road driver since 1984, and I have never had an accident or a speeding ticket ever. Even with that, the trucking industry is so cutthroat. Most carriers offer insurance, but it’s so expensive that it is out of reach for the majority of truckers. I have never done anything like this, but I can’t see how I can get back to normal with so many medical bills and no way to work and, of course, no benefits in trucking.
