Hello Friends and Supporters,
We are a group of five passionate nursing students preparing for an incredible opportunity in September 2025 — a clinical trip to Accra, Ghana, with a focus on women’s health, labor and delivery, and newborn care.
As part of our OBGYN clinical rotation, we’ll be working alongside local healthcare professionals to provide hands-on care to women and infants in underserved communities. One of our most meaningful goals during this trip is to host a Community Shower for new and expectant mothers — a special event where we’ll offer essential supplies and health education in a respectful, compassionate, and empowering space.
Accra, Ghana’s largest city, stretches along the Atlantic coast and is known for its rich culture, historic landmarks, and vibrant communities. While it’s a city full of life and resilience, many families still face significant barriers to accessing maternal and newborn care. In many cases, women give birth without even the most basic supplies — things we often take for granted. Our mission is to help bridge that gap by providing mothers with the resources they need to care for themselves and their babies.
We’re seeking your support to help fund the purchase and transport of much-needed supplies for the community shower. These items will go directly to the families we serve and include:
• Swaddle blankets
• Baby clothes (0–3 months)
• Newborn disposable diapers
• Sanitary pads for postpartum care
• Reusable or disposable infant wipes
• Newborn washcloths and drying towels
Your donation will help give mothers and babies a healthier, more supported start — and will empower the next generation of nurses committed to global health equity. Every dollar will go toward purchasing and transporting these supplies to Ghana.
Thank you for being part of our journey to serve, learn, and make a lasting impact.
