My name is Trina Harvey and I’m raising funds for medical costs and living expenses.
Earlier this year in March, during a routine mammogram, my doctor discovered a lump on my left breast. My doctor scheduled me for a biopsy and thankfully it was benign. However, I must have surgery to have it removed. Furthermore, I must take anti-cancer medication which will help prevent cancer from occurring.
Next, about a month later, I went to the doctor as I had been experiencing a pulsing sensation on the left side of my head. After a series of appointments with specialists and tests, I was diagnosed with an aneurysm.
Due to the stress of my health, my blood pressure has escalated and delayed both surgeries. I am on blood pressure medication to help. But until my blood pressure decreases and is within normal range, both my doctors prefer not to operate. However, time is of the essence as I need to recover in order to have surgery again to remove the aneurysm. My doctors informed me I will need at least 4 to 5 days off work to remove the breast lump and will need 4 to 6 weeks off work to remove the aneurysm. However, this will depend on how my body responds and heals after the brain surgery. Additionally, the longer I wait to get the lump removed, I risk the lump growing in size.
I’ve always been healthy with no major health problems, so this news has been devastating to accept. Being diagnosed with 2 medical conditions both requiring surgery has me terrified. I’m a single mom of 2 children and I worry about their well-being. I’m terribly afraid.
I am raising money to help pay for my medical costs and living expenses. I ask if you can donate $25.00, $50.00, I would greatly appreciate any amount you can donate.
