Help Support Terry Sutphin on His Road to Recovery
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of my Son Terry Sutphin who recently suffered a devastating accident that left him with severe second- and third-degree burns. He is currently in the hospital at VCU medical burn unit in Richmond Va. undergoing intensive treatment and faces a long, painful road to recovery — including multiple surgeries one of which he will have tomorrow on 6/13/25 and months of rehabilitation, and extended time away from work.
As you can imagine, this situation has turned life upside down not just for my son Terry, but also for his wife, Jessica and my young granddaughter , and family. On top of the emotional and physical toll, they are now facing hefty medical expenses, along with the loss of income during this time. The doctor say he will be out of work 3 months.
My son Terry has always been the type of person who shows up for others — selfless, kind, hardworking, and deeply loyal. Now, we have the opportunity to show up for him and help ease some of the stress that comes with such a traumatic event.
This fundraiser was created to help support his healing journey and to make this incredibly difficult time a little easier for his wife and daughter, All donations will go directly toward medical bills, ongoing care, and daily living expenses so that the family can focus on what matters most: helping Terry recover.
No amount is too small. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page with your community would mean the world.
Thank you for your compassion, support, and prayers. Let’s rally together for Terry and his family — they need us now more than ever.
With deep gratitude,
His Mother Barbara Hernandez
and (sister-in-law) Shenee Sutphin
