Hi, my name is Lisa, and I’m asking for help for my friend Sandie. Sandie was an active, happy, giving woman when her life changed yet again! She lost her partner of 15 years, Lawrence Beaver, in Jan 2024 to cancer, while Sandie was away trying to fix a knee that was causing her pain. After years of working with knee replacement, the end of the leg came sadly on March 28th, 2025. Sandie has been there for all of her friends and family, never asking for anything but a smile, and now it’s our turn to help her as she goes through the loss of her partner and then her right leg above the knee. She is trying to adjust to a new way of life, and it’s expensive, exhausting, and scary when you’re alone. I moved in on March 29, 2024, and have been caregiving to the best of my ability! Funds are really tight; any help will be much appreciated and used wisely to help Sandie get back on two legs!!
Sandie works with Civitan, volunteered with special needs kids, and loves taking her grandkids out and spoiling them. But since the new change, she is working hard to get her prosthesis and get back to long drives and walks in the park! Thank you for your time, and I will keep you updated!
