My name is Khadija and I am starting this fundraiser for a very dear friend of mine, Kimberly Hurst, who I’ve watched suffer greatly during this time of need, but didn’t want to burden anyone by asking for help. If anyone deserves this, it’s her as she’s helped so many teens, family members and even myself in their time of need, asking for nothing in return.
Her husband of 20 years (44 years old) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Sarcoma in January and from then, it’s been overwhelmingly difficult for her to manage financially and emotionally. She is one of the most responsible and strong women I know, having over $10,000 in savings prior, she has worked the same job for over 20 years, has great insurance through her job, but with medical bills, having to take time off and going from a two income home to suddenly a one income home, she has ran through every resource and now I’m asking for anyone who can to help her get through her husbands last days of life.
Tito is also an amazing and revered man. He was dedicated to the car community and a dedicated family man who enjoyed helping anyone who needed help with their cars, home repairs, night or day, it didn’t matter. He loves his family dearly and just wants to make sure his family is okay. His wish is to have his family (who is in Puerto Rico) by his side during his last days and to be flown back to his home, Puerto Rico for his last resting place.
As more and more bills pile up, this family is at the cusp of losing a lot of what they’ve worked so hard for although being as prepared as possible. They did everything right, never asking for assistance. If you can help Kimberly stay afloat and to help fulfill her husband’s last wishes, it would mean the world to this family.
