Recently, my father, Jayson Osborn, was diagnosed with stage 3 optic nerve melanoma that had spread from his lymph nodes (where they found two golf ball-sized masses). There has been a constant battle with getting tests and procedures done, and we are not going to be able to afford the treatment he needs. While he is waiting on more diagnosing, testing, and treatment, his eyesight is fading every day. He is missing a lot of work due to all of the required appointments and will be fully responsible for his healthcare premiums (as of July). He is still a young man; he has just managed to get his life together and find a career he loves after being 15 years sober. I’m reaching out to all of our friends and family to help us with this unexpected nightmare. We want our dad to be here much longer, to help support our mom, to be there for his daughters, and his new grandbaby. Anything will help.
