Hi, my name is Gabriela Meise and I never imagined i’d be reaching out for help this way. Life has thrown an unexpected challenge my way, and after much thought ive decided to turn to my community for support.
After a sudden diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, I must admit I was stunned, terrified and confused. The most gut wrenching part of the diagnosis, is that there is no cure. This sickness has changed my life drastically and impeded every area of my life. I was a perfectly functioning, capable, hard working woman that would never in my wildest dreams think that I would have trouble walking, carrying things, and even getting out of the bath tub.
My service dog Ethan is a three year old Pomeranian who is the love of my life. I dont think I would be able to fight this disease without him by my side. Part of my biggest concern is making sure he will always be ok, and that he and I have the resources to have the proper life I envisioned for us on a day to day basis.
