My name is Shakeel.
On the 11th of April 2025 at 02:08 am our son Josiah was prematurely. He was born at 29 weeks and 4 days, weighing 1230 grams.
Our whole world yet again tipped upside down…
In August 2023 my wife Charlene had given birth to a beautiful baby boy by the name of Jacob, he was also born prematurely at 30 weeks. However, his time on earth was short, he fell asleep with the angels on the 27th of Oct 2023. He passed away 1 week after Charlene was diagnosed with CLL. He was angel sent on earth to save her. We mourn and miss our Jacob everyday.
The Lord knew we needed him, so he sent us down another beautiful angel by the name of Josiah. Unfortunately as mentioned above, his come into the this world very early. Josiah was diagnosed with G6PD at 4 of life and the very next day he was diagnosed with severe hydrocephalus. He has since been transferred to different hospital to where he was born. Day 15 of life he brain surgery to insert a Rickhams Resivor which allowed the neurosurgeons todo daily taps to expel excess amounts of fluid in hope that the hydrocephalus will resolve. Which now has led to another surgery. His 2nd surgery at just 63 days of life. Josiah has now been fitted with an unprogramable shunt. We have no idea how this will impact his life moving forward and plan to take 1 day at time as we have been since he has been born.
We feel absolutely terrible to ask and never have had too.
