Support for Larry’s Medical & Daily Needs

Larry Portwood has always been known for his hard work and dedication, especially to his customers and coworkers at Mineral Palace. Over the years, he’s been the kind of person who goes out of his way to help others, whether it’s lending a hand at work or being there for friends and family. Since becoming seriously ill with cirrhosis at the end of December, Larry’s life has changed dramatically. He spent time in the hospital and a rehab facility, and now faces weekly medical procedures and frequent doctor visits. The illness has made it difficult for him to walk, drive, or work, and he’s had to stop working altogether, which has caused a significant loss of income.

Despite these challenges, Larry remains a loving father, and the past several months have brought him and his daughter Abby closer together as they spend more quality time. Abby does all she can to help, balancing her support for Larry with being a full-time mother and working herself. Larry’s friend John, a former coworker, has also been a constant presence—visiting every day and helping with weekly trips to the doctor. Before Larry’s illness, he and John would meet up for meals and catch up, a tradition that speaks to the strong friendships Larry has built.

Right now, Larry and his family are facing ongoing expenses for medical care, travel to appointments, and daily living costs. Any support will help ease the financial burden as Larry adjusts to this new way of life. Your help and prayers are deeply appreciated as they navigate this difficult time.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
