Support for Josh Voelkel’s Recovery

Josh Voelkel is a devoted father of three and a hardworking member of the North Platte, NE community, working both at the local hospital and the Walmart Shipping Center. On what should have been a day of celebration—his anniversary with his wife, Lindsey—Josh suffered a sudden brain aneurysm while driving near the hospital. The medical emergency caused him to lose consciousness and crash into a concrete barrier, leading to a severe brain bleed. After initial treatment, Josh was transferred to Omaha for specialized neurosurgery, where doctors are still determining the best way to operate due to the complexity of his condition.

Lindsey, a dedicated nurse who manages the night shift at the hospital, has taken leave from work to be by Josh’s side and care for their children. With no family nearby and their truck totaled in the accident, Lindsey is struggling to find affordable lodging in Omaha, especially with local hotels booked due to a university event. The family now faces mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the challenge of daily living costs while both parents are unable to work.

Josh and Lindsey have always been the first to help others in need, never asking for anything in return. Now, they need the support of their community more than ever. Any contribution will help cover hotel stays, food, and medical expenses, giving this family a chance to focus on Josh’s recovery. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to them during this incredibly difficult time.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
