In May Chelsea was diagnosed with B Cell Acute lymphoblastic leukemia- her words on the first public post; The journey from there to now has been a lot because they have to attack it pretty aggressively, and a lot of levels drop down to almost nothing in your body and have to build back up. Plus all of the tests, biopsies, and everything else. We have quite a ways to go still, but I know God is with us through this all. There is nothing that I did to cause the cancer, and nothing I could’ve done to prevent it. It just has to do with the cells in my bone marrow. We will try to update as we know more things along the way.
June 1st they had to go to the ER and had an extended stay.
June 18th Back in the hospital, but this time to start my new targeted cell treatment! This treatment targets any leukemia cells, and brings them to my immune cells so they know to attack those cells. Right now my body doesn’t realize that the leukemia cells are bad. I’ll be monitored for the next 3 days for reactions before I go home. Then it will be 4 weeks with a pump of the treatment, and 2 weeks off. I’ll have 5 cycles of this treatment. I just want to thank everyone who has helped us, continues to help us, everyone who reaches out and checks on me, and all of the prayers. I try my best to get back with everyone, but sometimes I forget. I’ve also been blessed with an amazing care team at the hospital, and the cancer clinic. We are getting closer to me beating this, and being cured!
