We’re sharing difficult news about our family member Dale, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma in March at age 46. With wis wife Amy and two young sons who are the center of his world, Dale is facing this battle with incredible courage and determination.
Since his diagnosis, Dale has been unable to work as he focuses on his treatment and recovery. Amy, who works as a Mental Health Injury Case Manager with WSIB, has been on strike since May 23rd with no resolution in sight. This has left their family navigating an incredibly challenging situation – not only dealing with the emotional toll of Dale’s diagnosis, but also managing unexpected financial pressures while medical and household expenses continue.
Logan, 9, and Mason, 4, are resilient boys who bring joy and laughter to their parents every day. Dale and Amy are working hard to maintain normalcy for them, continuing their activities and routines despite the circumstances. However, the mounting expenses are making this increasingly difficult.
With Dale unable to work and Amy’s employment situation uncertain, they’re facing financial strain while trying to cover medical costs and the everyday needs of their young family. The bills don’t stop, even when life throws its hardest challenges.
Dale has always been someone who would help others without hesitation. As his extended family, we’re asking our community to rally around Dale, Amy, Logan, and Mason during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow Dale to focus on what matters most – his treatment and spending precious time with his boys.
A gentle reminder: Dale and Amy are taking things one day at a time with Logan and Mason. If you’d like to reach out to the family, they would appreciate keeping conversations light and positive around the boys, and avoiding specific medical discussions.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
