To the Delaware community, we’re asking for your urgent support for Ron Kinslow. At 61, Ron isn’t just an official; he’s a true fixture in Delaware High School sports, a familiar and beloved face on fields and mats across the state. As a top-tier DIAA Umpire and Referee for Girls Softball, Varsity Football, and Wrestling, his dedication is unmatched. Ron’s impact extends far beyond the rules of the game. He’s a genuine mentor to our student-athletes, consistently offering wise words of advice and heartfelt encouragement. Countless young people have benefited from his guidance, and his unwavering commitment has earned him the deep respect of coaches, players, and parents alike.
Tragically, Ron has recently received a devastating diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma, a serious and aggressive form of cancer. This illness struck him suddenly, in what should be the prime of his life, and he is now undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments. This has severely limited his ability to work, creating an immediate and immense financial burden for him and his family. With four grown daughters and seven grandchildren, Ron is now facing overwhelming medical expenses and a significant loss of income while he courageously fights for his health.
Ron Kinslow has given so much to our community and to generations of student-athletes. Now, he needs us.
