My name is Connie Rae, and I’m writing from a place of deep love and even deeper faith. My wife, Codi, is in end-stage liver failure, and we are holding on to hope—hope for healing, hope for strength, and most of all, hope for a second chance at life through a liver transplant.
Codi’s health has declined rapidly in recent weeks. She now requires constant care due to extreme fatigue, mobility issues, pain, and weakness. We’ve spent more days in the hospital lately than at home. And yet—even in her weakest moments—Codi still manages to smile. She is so deeply loved.
If you’ve lived in our town for a while, you probably know Codi from her years at IHOP and other local restaurants. She worked hard, served with grace, and always had a kind word for everyone. Now, as she steps away from the world to fight this battle, I’m doing everything I can to hold the rest of our life together.
I’m also caring for our adult son, Zack, who just had two brain surgeries last month. He’s recovering at home and still needs daily support. Between caring for them both and navigating Codi’s many hospital visits, I’ve already missed many, many days of work. The emotional, physical, and financial weight is unlike anything I’ve ever faced.
We are asking for help—not for medical bills, which are covered—but for everything else that keeps a family going during crisis:
• Gas for the hospital runs
• Groceries and household needs
• Lost wages from missed work
• Breathing room while we care for each other
This is not just a fundraiser—it’s a prayer in action. We believe in miracles. We believe in the strength of community. And we believe that love can carry us through.
If you feel called to give, even a small amount makes a difference. If you can’t give, please share our story, say a prayer for Codi, or send good energy our way. Every act of love lifts us.
With gratitude, faith, and fierce hope,
Connie Rae and Family
