When I first met Niko, he was sitting quietly in the back of the classroom, his hoodie pulled up even though it was warm outside. At just 11 years old, Niko had already faced more bullying and stares than any kid should. He suffers from a rare condition called alopecia, which caused him to lose most of his hair by the time he was 9.
