I’m reaching out as a mother, with a heart full of love and concern, to ask for support on behalf of my son, Taylor Henry, and my daughter-in-law, Kenzie Henry. They are facing an unimaginably difficult chapter in their lives — one that no young family should have to walk through alone.
On Monday, June 9th, Kenzie was rushed to the ER in Viroqua after experiencing sudden and severe dizziness and vomiting. She was quickly transferred to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, where doctors discovered a vertebral artery dissection that had led to a major stroke. Thanks to the swift and skilled care she received at both Vernon Memorial and Gundersen Lutheran, Kenzie is now in the ICU under close observation.
Kenzie is a devoted wife, a loving mother to their two beautiful toddlers — Woods and Nellie — and one of the most compassionate, resilient people I know. Taylor hasn’t left her side. As a husband, father, and caregiver, he is doing everything he can to support his family in this time of crisis.
Together, Taylor and Kenzie run a small regenerative farm, other entrepreneur endeavors and Acres USA. Like many self-employed families, their health insurance is extremely limited — it’s a catastrophic-only policy that doesn’t begin covering costs until after they’ve already paid $25,000 out of pocket. This means they are responsible for a significant portion of Kenzie’s emergency care, ICU stay, ongoing treatment, and the expenses Taylor is incurring while staying near the hospital.
We are asking for your help — whether it’s through a financial donation, sharing this fundraiser, or lifting them up in your prayers and positive thoughts. Every gift, no matter the size, will help ease the weight they are carrying and allow them to focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with the Henry family in this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
The Entire Henry, McGregor, & Stackhouse Families
