I believe we all have a desire to help when friends, neighbors, or our families are in need. My name is Laura Valentine, and I have been on the receiving end of these very acts of generosity, so I can testify to their ability to help and heal in deep times of need.
Today, I’m asking you to help me help our next-door neighbor, Robert Glover, who is indeed in a deep time of need. He is a wonderful neighbor, kind soul, lover of music and NASCAR, and a small business owner with a fiercely independent streak!
Robert was just released from the hospital after a 12-day stay. For the second time in three years, he underwent major open-heart surgery. The first time (2022) was to replace two heart valves, and most recently (last week) to open a blockage and repair leaks in one of the heart valves. Needless to say, we’re deeply grateful he’s on the mend.
Robert’s doctors have put him on strict orders not to drive or work for the next four weeks. As a small business owner with only one employee (him!), if he isn’t working, no income is coming in. Worrying about hospital bills, co-pays, medication, follow-up appointments, and all the other unexpected expenses is not something we want him to cope with while he recovers.
Please join me today in showing Robert that we, his friends, neighbors, and family, want to help. It’s how we show our love and gratitude that he is in our lives.
Thank you!
