Help Support Connor’s Fight ♥️
Connor is in the midst of a critical, life-threatening fight and he needs all the strength and support we can give.
Just days ago, he suffered a seizure that landed him in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). After a whirlwind of tests and tears, we learned the cause: a rare genetic condition called TANGO2 – a diagnosis we didn’t even know existed until now.
TANGO2 is life-threatening. It affects multiple systems in the body and can cause severe seizures, cardiac complications, and metabolic crises. A few days after arriving at the hospital, Connor went into ventricular tachycardia (v-tach) – a dangerous heart rhythm that nearly took his life. As if that wasn’t enough, his kidneys and liver began to fail, and he went into Rhabdomyolysis, a serious condition where his muscles started breaking down (literally disintegrating) rapidly. It was the most terrifying moment we’ve ever experienced. Right now, we’re still in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Connor is being closely monitored around the clock, as we’re not out of the woods yet.
As bills are already rolling in (yes, they are sending texts to us as we sit in the Intensive Care Unit demanding payment) and Connor remains in intensive care, we’re asking for help. Our family operates on a single income, and unfortunately, the state of Florida does not offer Connor any support, not even social security. Everything we do for him comes out of pocket, and the financial weight is becoming too much to carry alone.
We’re hoping to raise $20,000 to cover:
• Ongoing and mounting hospital bills
• The specialized medical equipment Connor will need once discharged (a custom wheelchair, a supportive medical bed, etc.)
• Long-term care and therapies needed to give him the best chance at a stable life
Connor is the light of our lives – funny, gentle, and stronger than most adults we know. He deserves a life full of support, dignity, and comfort.
If you can give, no matter the amount, we are deeply grateful. If you can’t, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Connor and our family during this unimaginably hard time ♥️
