My name is Valerie, and I am asking for help for medical reasons. I am having knee replacement surgery and have been denied in-home health care for physical therapy. I need help with fuel to get me to and from therapy and to and from my many doctor’s visits. I see a doctor in Springfield, have surgery in Mattoon, and have to drive to both frequently. I will be having therapy twice a week. After one knee heals, I will have the other done. I am on disability, so my funds are limited. I am embarrassed to ask for help like this, but I need help.
