Hi, my name is Michael. I am 35 years old. One day, out of nowhere, my hip started hurting, and come to find out, I lost blood to my femur, which caused my cartilage in my hip to die. It took so long to get to surgery that my bone started dying. By the time I had my surgery, I had nine fractures from my hip to about 4 inches above my kneecap. With all the blood loss and infection from my femur dying, half of my glutes died as well. So now, not only did I have to have a total hip replacement, but had to have a second surgery so they also cut out half of my butt muscle.
I’ve always been self-reliant and a very independent person. As of right now, I can’t work because I can’t stand for too long, sit for long, or walk for long. I don’t know when or if ever I will be able to return to work. Any donations anyone could give would be very much appreciated. Even if you can’t, I still appreciate it because I do understand times are hard. I’ve lost everything in the last year, and what little I have left I’m fixing to lose to live.
