On Friday, June 6th, against his wishes, Lisa Hopper, took her husband, Lee Hopper, to Olympic Medical Center Emergency room because Lee was having trouble breathing. After the staff at OMC poked & prodded, the end result was sending him home in the wee hours of Saturday with instructions to follow up with his primary Doctor on Monday. This did not sit well with Lisa, it left her uneasy and very worried. By the time Sunday arrived she knew things were progressing and knew he needed to be seen again but was not going to go back to OMC. She insisted, with much resistance from Lee, that he get back in the car so she could take him to the next closest hospital in Port Townsend. Thanks to Jefferson Healthcare’s quick response to Lee’s failing condition, they could have very well saved his life! Unfortunately, upon arrival in Port Townsend, Lee’s condition had worsened requiring him to be intubated. Lee was life flighted to Swedish Hospital in Seattle on Monday. Lee has been diagnosed with an extremely severe case of bacterial pneumonia. The doctors in Seattle are doing everything they can to assist his body in fighting this infection and hopefully to avoid any long term complications. Lee is literally in the fight of his life! At this time we are asking for PRAYERS & MORE PRAYERS! If you can help out by sharing this post/donating, we would truly appreciate it! It was a bit of a battle getting Lisa to accept setting up the fundraiser account for them, as they are usually the Givers ♥️
Lisa & Lee have ALWAYS opened their home & hearts to help any & all animals & people in our community. It is time for us to return the favor and help them ♥️ Right now they don’t need to worry about all of the additional unexpected medical/travel/time off work expenses that they are accruing. If you can help them with a donation, THANK YOU SO MUCH, and if you can’t, THAT IS OKAY too! Please share this post & continue prayers for Lee & their family ♥️ Thank you for all your support! We will post updates as we know more!
