Help Laura & Bowie Recover from Long Illness and Toxic Exposure
Hi everyone,
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I’m truly hanging on by a thread. Over the past month, I’ve been battling a perfect storm of illness—COVID, RSV, and Aspergillosis, a serious fungal infection that’s been complicated by a newly discovered autoimmune condition.
After months of struggling with unexplained symptoms, we’ve begun to trace everything back to prolonged exposure to toxic black mold in our former home, managed by Greystar Properties. I’ve secured an attorney and we are actively building a case, but as you can imagine, these legal battles take time—and in the meantime, life doesn’t stop.
This illness has taken a huge toll on my body, making it nearly impossible to work regularly. I’ve been undergoing multiple rounds of lab work and tests while trying to manage basic needs. Bills are quickly piling up—from medical expenses to daily essentials—and our safety net is stretched thin.
My son Bowie, who is just 19 years old, is doing everything he can to help. He’s working hard and stepping up in ways no teenager should have to—but he can only do so much. We had also hoped for more support from family, but unfortunately, my mother is no longer in our lives in the way we once depended on, and that absence has been deeply felt.
If you’re able to donate—even a small amount—it will go directly toward covering medical care, food, and essential living expenses while I fight to recover and pursue justice. Your support would mean everything to us during this incredibly vulnerable time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
