Jeff is a loved teacher, family member and friend.
2 years ago he had a stroke, and he valiantly fought his way back to teaching.
In March he started having episodes of vertigo (I suspect exhaustion) and it was decided he would leave work. Jeff is heartbroken because he loves teaching with the kids and faculty of Archbishop Molloy.
On June 9 he took a header down the stairs. The doctors say its a miracle nothing was broken. He is currently at Northshore Hospital. Soon he’ll go for Rehab at Glen Cove Hospital.
We are in the process of applying for Disability and Medicaid, but he will likely have a gap from when his school salary and insurance stops, to when Disability and Medicaid starts. And he will need out of pocket Home Health Aids in any case. Very costly! We hope to get him back some independence and joy of volunteering. But if you can help him bridge that gap, Jeff will be very grateful.
