My grandbaby was born on June 9th, and what was suppose to be a happy day took a turn on us. This beautiful boy was born at 8:15 am weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz. After delivery baby ZyMonii came out purple and was having issues with his breathing. They thought it was due to having a c-section and baby took in to much fluid as he came out. They let mom and dad know that he was being taken to nursery to be put on oxgen and that if he was not able to get off of the oxygen in 4 hours that they would have to call Elpaso childrens hospital to have him transported there. As me and dad kept checking up on him we thought things were looking good. But thats when it all took a turn. The babys dr came in and informed mom and dad that the baby was having some odd movements and they were worried that it was a seizure. About 3 hours later ElPaso ambulance showed up to transfer ZyMonii to the childrens hospital, at this time is when mom got to touch her baby boy for the first time. This was so heart breaking as a mother myself not being able to fix this for my baby girl. Today they gave a diagnosis. He had a ischemic stroke. where he had a stroke in the small left corner of his brain, which is causing him to have tremors in his right hand, and this is what is causing him to contuine to have seizures. At this time they are still trying to figure out what caused this to happen. His sugars are also low so at this time they are givng him meds for the seizures and liquid sugars as well to get his sugar levels up. Baby boy will not beable to return home until he is off oxgen, until the seizures stop and he can eat on his own.
This has been a ruff sad heartbreaking 3 days. Momma is finally out of the hospital and has started pumping to get her baby the nutrients he needs. But she is stuck in bed and can not make it at this time to see her baby boy as she has not even got to hold him yet. Mom is 100 miles from baby boy. Dad has been going back and forth to see baby to make sure everything is ok and signing stuff they may need for baby to get every test he needs, and is now running to take milk to baby boy. as mom gets better she wants to bebable to go meet him and have her time with him, hold and love on him.. They have 3 other boys as well and at this time with bills and having to drive there and back i am asking for help for them as money is tight. Dad is taking care of mom and boys (while yes she has help) driving to elpaso and back and going to work. I am asking for help for them to have gas to get there and back and help with bills as mom as to heal and there are gonna be times that dad needs to miss work.
