Help Valeria’s Final Wish: Return to Bolivia

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. My sister Valeria, my best friend, my heart—is dying. She has been fighting cancer, with so much strength, hope, and courage. We’ve prayed, hoped, and done everything we possibly could. But last week, we were told the words no family ever wants to hear — there’s nothing more the doctors can do. Her time is now very limited.

In the middle of all this pain, my sister shared one last wish with me: She wants to go home to Bolivia. She wants to be with our family, in the country where she grew up, surrounded by the people and places that feel like home. She wants to spend whatever time she has left holding her children, breathing familiar air, and being wrapped in love.

My sister is a mother to two beautiful little ones, Liah (8) and Bryan (6). She wants to create as many small, peaceful memories with them as she still can. As her sister, my heart is shattered watching her go through this — but I want to do everything in my power to honor her wish and bring her home.

But I can’t do it alone. Traveling with her condition is complicated and expensive. She will need medical care to travel safely, hospice support once we arrive, medications, equipment, and so many things I never imagined I would be facing. On top of that, we need to make these arrangements very quickly, while she’s still stable enough to travel.

I’m humbly asking for help. If you can donate, share, or even just keep us in your prayers, it would mean the world to us. Every single donation will go directly toward:

• Medical travel and transportation

• Hospice and palliative care in Bolivia

• Medications, supplies, and living arrangements

• Support for her two young children during this transition

I want my sister to be at peace, surrounded by love and family in her final days. I don’t know how much time we have, but I want to give her this gift while I still can.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us during the hardest moment of our lives.

With love and gratitude,

Dayanara

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
