My sister needs 24/7 care to survive — and we need your help.
Earlier this year, my sister suffered severe brain injury caused by Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome, a rare neurocognitive condition brought on by nutritional deficiencies and long-term health struggles. The damage has left her with serious memory loss, confusion, balance problems, and the inability to safely care for herself.
She is unable to live alone, cannot manage her medications, cannot drive, and needs full-time help with basic daily activities like eating, dressing, and even remembering where she is.
Right now, we are fighting to bring her home where she can be surrounded by her family — where she feels safest, calmest, and most loved. But home care for brain injury patients is extremely expensive, even while we apply for state and federal long-term care programs.
The funds raised will help cover:
• 24/7 caregiving and nursing support
• Specialized medical supplies and equipment
• Therapies to help stabilize her memory and physical health
• Transportation to doctors and specialists
• Expenses not covered by insurance
• Critical support during the waiting period while government programs are being processed
We are doing everything in our power to get her the help she needs, but as you can imagine, the financial strain is overwhelming. Even with state programs, there are gaps that fall on the family to cover.
Every donation — no matter how big or small — helps bring my sister one step closer to safety, stability, and a chance at peace.
If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers, shares, and support mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with our family in this fight.
