Hello reader,
Have you ever been bullied for something that is beyond your control? I have; my nose. Ever since I was a child, I have been bullied for having a large nose. I have been told “you’d be more pretty if your nose wasn’t so big” and “I bet you can smell 10x more than the regular person”. For years I have ignored what the bullies had to say, but it has left me with severely low self-esteem and body dysmorphia.
I recently got married and instead of looking at the photos taken and admiring them, all I can think about is how big and ugly my nose is. I want to get a nose job not only for self-esteem reasons, but also because I have breathing problems. I get burning sensations in my nose that can lasts days, weeks, and sometimes months. It’s a terrible feeling and could be corrected with the help of a nose job. I also am prone to chronic nosebleeds which could also be solved with a nose job.
Now you might ask yourself why would I donate to a random person so that they could get a nose job? That’s a good question. While I cannot force anyone to donate or have sympathy, I can say that this is a decision I have thought about for over 10 years and I am determined to get a rhinoplasty (nose job). I am generally comfortable in every other area of my body besides my nose. It is not purely cosmetic, it is also beneficial to my breathing and every day life.
My goal is to get 15,000 people to simply donate $1. I hope to achieve this by promoting on social media and taking any avenue I can. It might seem impossible, but I am positive and excited to try. The $15,000 would all go towards the procedure and recovery.
So what do you say? Do your good deed for the day and donate $1! A dollar can go farther than you think!
Thank you for reading and donating 🙂
