My 2-year-old cat, Skye, began seizing, excessively salivating, and open-mouthed breathing on June 11th. After a visit to MedVet, we were told her ALT (liver) levels were over 1,000, and X-rays showed she has a thoracic mass near her heart. I was informed this is extremely alarming, as a typical cat’s ALT range is under 200, and heart conditions, as well as those of the liver, can be extreme in felines.
After a follow-up visit with our veterinarian, we were referred to a Feline Cardiologist as well as a Feline Internal Medicine Specialist. These specialists are, unfortunately, not local, nor will they be cost-friendly. I am asking for aid in trying to get her seen by the specialists she needs.
