Sarah has always been a pillar in our community, dedicating her life to teaching at Fayetteville Academy and shaping the lives of countless children through her personalized instruction. She is beloved by her students, however is retired now , and her impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Our family has always admired her strength, compassion, and commitment to others.
About a month ago, our world changed when Sarah was diagnosed with lung cancer. The diagnosis came unexpectedly after she suffered a broken L1 disc in her back, and further tests revealed a spot on her lung. We are preparing to start an intensive treatment plan next week, which includes radiation twice a day and chemotherapy three times a week. The emotional and physical toll has been immense, but we are determined to support her every step of the way.
Unfortunately, the financial burden is overwhelming. Insurance is not covering nearly as much as we hoped, and the costs of ongoing treatments, medications, and the professional full-time care Sarah will soon need are adding up quickly. I have moved home to help care for her and take her to appointments, but we will need additional support to ensure she receives the best care possible. Any help will go directly toward her medical expenses and care, allowing us to focus on her comfort and recovery. Thank you for supporting Sarah and our family during this difficult time.
