Early morning Saturday morning, our beloved 75-year-old mother and grandmother faced a nightmare no one should ever have to endure. While walking in her quiet neighborhood, she was suddenly and violently attacked by a rabid fox.
Completely alone, she fought off the relentless attack for nearly 10 minutes, using nothing but her bare hands and will to survive. The fox bit and tore at her legs and arms, causing serious injuries that now require intensive medical care, possible surgeries, and a long, painful recovery.
Her strength and courage in the face of this terrifying ordeal are nothing short of heroic — but now she needs our help.
She is enduring immense pain and uncertainty about what lies ahead. The costs of emergency treatment, potential surgeries, follow-up care, and ongoing physical therapy are already adding up, and unfortunately, not everything is covered by insurance.
