Hello, meet Octavia. Octavia is 8 months old and was born with a birth defect in her hand. It hasn’t been an easy process, especially with how young she is. At her most recent appointment, the doctor noticed some things and is now concerned that Octavia may have Fanconi Anemia. If you don’t know what FA is, it’s a rare genetic disease that affects bone marrow and DNA repair. Most people diagnosed with FA have a lifespan of 20-30 years. Now, as a parent, this is one of the hardest things to deal with, especially when there are so many unknowns. The insurance will not cover the testing, and the testing is $2,000. So if you have it in you, please donate to help us cover the testing. We just want to know if our little girl is going to be okay. Thank you.
