“HIT AND RUN VICTIM AND IM TO PROUD TO ASK FOR HELP”
Hi my name is MICHAEL WINN CAIRNS; I went on a bike ride with a friend then all of sudden a white Ford ranger ran me over and there I go up in the air and landed on my head.i told my friend that she needs to get my bike and stuff off the road while I pull myself off the road and that she need to get a turning kit and put it on my leg before I passed out and died for a few minutes before the perimedics arrived,and at which point when the perimedics arrived they were able to revive me and then they rushed me to harborview medical center but on my way to harborview medical health center my leg was hanging on by an inch of skin.i was induced into a coma for about 2 weeks and then i ended up waking up not knowing I was in the hospital,but they were able to put my leg back together..since then I’ve been fighting all kinds of infections in my leg and I already had multiple surgery for and still more to come..now I’m having to get a blood transfusion because it’s possible that I’m going to loose my leg if I can’t get this infection…
Being homeless after the hit and run accident has taken a big toll on me because I’ve lost everything so many times cus every where I’ve stayed at on the streets the cops will just mess with me and they have taken all of my things that I had even my tents..so with the money I raise it’s going to go towards all my medical bills and pay for the surgery that needs to be done to save my leg.
