So, this was not part of our five year plan. Cancer never is. This is the fight of a lifetime, and we need your help. Desperately. We’ve recently learned that the cornerstone of our spooky little family has Stage 3, Grade 3 breast cancer. We’re a blue-collar family like yourself; we rely on workplace-provided health insurance. We have already had one extremely important test denied. Paying for this test “out of pocket” isn’t a possibility for our current financial situation, but it is imperative to providing the best possible chance of survival. This will happen frequently, and we’re going to need help.
Whom are we saving, guys??? “Lady Death”… isn’t that a character created by Brian Pulido and first appeared in the comic book series Lady Death: The Odyssey published by Chaos! Comics in 1991?! Well, no… not that Lady Death. Our Lady Death uses that name as an online handle in the navigation app Waze. Why is that her handle? Our Lady Death has a deep affection for oddities, all things “spooky,” and roadkill. Our Lady Death likes to update roadkill sightings on Waze, especially on long road trips.
Most importantly, our Lady Death is the most wonderful mother to a bright and hilarious 16-year-old boy. A crazy 9-year-old cat named Bela Lugosi, aka Dracula. Lady Death is my personal world, and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to make her better. Help us receive the testing and care the cancer team wants for her and not the plan the insurance company deems not profitable. It’s literally insane.
The system is broken, and now we need help from the tribe.
