We’re reaching out on behalf of an extraordinary woman whom we love, Katie Riley. A devoted wife and mother of three, beloved elementary school educator, and a pillar of her community — who is now facing one of the greatest challenges of her life: a diagnosis of medullary thyroid cancer.
Katie has spent over two decades nurturing and educating young minds, going above and beyond for her students and colleagues. Whether it was staying late to help a struggling child, mentoring new teachers, or organizing school events, Katie has always given her heart to others. Now, she needs us to give back.
Recently, Katie received the life-changing news of her cancer diagnosis. Medullary thyroid cancer is rare and aggressive, and it requires complex, specialized surgery — which she is now preparing to undergo.
