Help Heather with the Nerve Ablation procedure

Hello! My name is Heather. I am not special or unique. What I am looking for is a little help. I have terrible, chronic pain in my back and the culprit is partly due to my Sacral Iliac joints. To say this has affected my life is an understatement. Everyone who knows me can see my quality of life has decreased. Family, friends, coworkers—they all know the pain dictates every day and every moment. I have avoided opioid pain medications due to the fear of dependency and the fact that they are not good to take long term. I have tried physical therapy and had steroid injections into the joints, which helped a couple of times. The last few injections did not help. I have thought about my options—joint fusion or a pain pump. I’m not ready for those and frankly, they scare me. I do have insurance, but unfortunately, the procedure of Radio Frequency nerve ablation to these joints is not covered by my insurance. I know this procedure is likely not permanent, but if I can get 6-12 months of relief, it would be so worth it. I haven’t slept a whole night in almost 4 years. I look at pictures of me and feel I have aged more in the last 4 years. I am hoping whomever reads this can empathize and help if they can. The cost for this is $1600.00. I would be forever grateful and would not ask for help unless I needed it. Thank you for reading this.
