My name is Dawn, and I’m reaching out with a humble request during a very difficult time for my family.
Last night, my 75-year-old mother suffered a serious fall down the stairs and broke her hip. She was blessed with a successful hip replacement this morning but will be facing a long road of rehabilitation ahead. I have full faith in her recovery, but she’s going to need a great deal of care and support, something I’m committed to providing every step of the way.
As many of you know, I’m self-employed, which means there’s no paid time off available to me. Stepping away from work to care for my mother will bring financial challenges, and that’s why I’m asking for help.
