Hi everyone,
I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my mom and dad to support them in any way I can during this incredibly difficult time.
In mid-May, my mom, Robin Gittinger — who is only 62, healthy, and active — was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) that has metastasized to her brain and bones. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, as she had no prior symptoms at all.
Since then, our lives have been a whirlwind of doctor appointments, medical travel, treatments, prescriptions, supplements, and exploring every possible treatment option, including alternative care. The emotional and financial toll this has taken is overwhelming — something you truly can’t imagine until you’re living it.
My dad, who just retired less than a year ago, is now dedicated to caring for my mom. My husband and I are doing everything we can to help support them so they don’t have to drain their retirement savings in the midst of this.
