We recently learned about a promising clinical trial that could be life-changing for AJ. The trial medication has already helped other children with POLG gain new independence, such as learning to walk and becoming more self-sufficient. Our greatest hope is that AJ will soon be able to walk and eat solid foods on his own, giving him a chance at a more typical childhood. To access this opportunity, we need to travel to Akron Children’s Hospital for an appointment on July 28th. This means covering the costs of flights, a hotel stay, a rental car, food, and gas for three days. On top of that, the trial medication itself is a significant ongoing expense.
We’re reaching out for support to help cover these medical and travel costs so AJ can have access to be on the trial meds. Every contribution brings us closer to giving AJ the chance to gain independence and experience the joys of childhood. Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
