Support for Lucas’s Recovery and Family Needs
Lucas Gould is a bright, energetic 3-year-old who has become a beloved part of our local skatepark community. He’s my daughter’s friend and a fellow skateboarder, always eager to learn new tricks and share his infectious smile with everyone around him. Right now, Lucas is facing a serious medical crisis—he’s been hospitalized for several days with Rhabdomyolysis, a painful condition that’s left him unable to walk or eat. It’s heartbreaking to see such a joyful child in so much pain, and his family is struggling to keep up with the challenges this has brought.
On top of Lucas’s medical emergency, his family is still recovering from devastating floods that damaged their home. With his mom at the hospital full-time and his dad working to support them, they’re facing extreme financial hardship. Bills are piling up, and they’re struggling to cover even the most basic needs while Lucas fights to get better. The skate community has always been there for Lucas, helping him learn to skate and even pitching in to rebuild his room after the hurricane. Now, we’re coming together to support the family through this crisis.
