Help Dennis Walk Again with a New Prosthetic Socket
Hi everyone,
My name is Veronica, and I’m fundraising for my husband, Dennis.
In March 2024, Dennis had an above-the-knee amputation of his right leg. Since then, he’s faced every challenge with determination and strength. He’s worked hard in rehab, stayed positive, and continues to inspire everyone around him.
But now we’ve hit a roadblock we weren’t prepared for.
As Dennis’s stump has healed and shrunk, his current prosthetic socket no longer fits properly. Right now, he’s having to wear 20-ply socks to try and make it work—when he should only be wearing 11-ply for a proper, safe fit. This causes discomfort, instability, and limits his mobility.
We’ve learned that our insurance will only cover 50% of the cost of any prosthetics going forward. The remaining balance for the new socket Dennis needs is $4,740.45—an amount we simply can’t manage on our own right now.
This new socket will allow Dennis to walk safely, comfortably, and regain more independence in his daily life.
If you’re able to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Every dollar helps bring us closer to giving Dennis the comfort and freedom he deserves. Even if you can’t give, sharing this page with others means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers.
With love,
Veronica & Dennis
