Gengler – Party of 5

On June 17, 2025, AJ and Kayla Gengler welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Ida Vi Gengler, into the world. While Ida is healthy and thriving, her birth came under circumstances no family could have prepared for.

During delivery, Kayla suffered a rare and life-threatening Amniotic Fluid Embolism, leading to Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) and cardiac arrest. Thanks to the swift response of her care team and a whole lot of fight in Kayla, she is slowly showing signs of improvement each day. But the road ahead is long.

AJ recently started a new job, which means he hasn’t had the opportunity to build up much paid time off. As he prioritizes being at Kayla’s side and caring for their newborn daughter and older kids, he may need to take unpaid leave, all while medical bills are mounting.

Many friends and family have asked how they can help. This fundraiser is an opportunity to rally around the Gengler family — to ease the financial burden so they can focus on healing, recovery, and bonding as a new family of five.

We are profoundly grateful for Ida’s safe arrival and for the encouraging signs Kayla is showing. Now is our chance to support the Gengler family in a meaningful way as they navigate this incredibly challenging time. Every donation, share, and message of support makes a difference.

With gratitude,

Friends and Family of the Gengler Family

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
