Amy has spent her life caring for others. As a registered nurse at Desert Regional Medical Center, she’s been a comfort, a healer, and a light to so many patients, coworkers, friends, and families. Now, she’s the one in need of care — and we’re hoping her community can lift her up the way she’s lifted so many.
Amy was diagnosed with cancer and has since endured unimaginable physical and emotional challenges. She’s had her stomach removed, faced emergency gallbladder surgery, and is now battling extreme fatigue and weight loss that make returning to work impossible. She’s fought hard, but this fight has left her exhausted — and financially drained.
Recently, Amy learned that she didn’t work enough hours last year to qualify for extended leave benefits. That means she now has to pay for COBRA insurance out of pocket — almost $1,200 a month — just to keep her healthcare going. And after months of trying to stay afloat, she’s tapped out.
Amy is the kind of person who gives without hesitation. She’s known for her carefree spirit, her deep compassion, and the way she makes everyone feel seen and loved. If you know Amy, you know how special she is.
Now she needs us.
Please help us surround her with the same love she’s always shown others. Every dollar will go directly toward her medical coverage and essential needs as she continues to fight for her health. Let’s be the community that reminds Amy she’s not alone — she never has been, and she never will be!
