Hello, my name is Patricia Martinez, and I’m 47 years old. I’m a widow and the proud mother of three I lost my husband in 2021 due to COVID and a heart attack, and since then, life has been a very difficult journey for my family and me.
Over the past four years, I’ve suffered two strokes and survived two heart attacks. I am now fighting kidney failure and go to dialysis three times a week. My doctors have informed me that I urgently need a kidney transplant — a life-saving procedure that comes with high out-of-pocket costs we simply can’t afford.
My 21-year-old daughter is working 12 to 16 hours a day just to help pay rent, bills, and support me with hospital and medication expenses. She is doing her best, but we need help.
