This incredible piece of technology empowers her to reach the unreachable and traverse her world with independence. Yet, it faces its own limitations, such as navigating muddied paths.
Your kindness can help us overcome the hurdles Abby encounters. When we acquired a new AWD Pacifica, we hoped it would be adapted for her to ride in her wheelchair, only to face unforeseen challenges. New York State cannot fund modifications for AWDs, nor can they assist in purchasing a specialized scooter trailer. Trading in the vehicle isn’t a viable option without significant financial loss, leaving us in a tough spot.
