For my birthday each year, I usually ask you to donate to your favorite charities or to organizations close to my heart, like the ASPCA, NAMI, or the American Cancer Society. Your generosity in the past has meant so much, and it’s always felt like the best way to celebrate.
This year, I have a more personal request, if you’re able and feel so inclined. My dear cousin, Lorenzo Del Rosario — or “Tok-Tok” as we lovingly call him — in the Philippines is facing a really tough time. He’s in urgent need of dialysis treatments, and the financial burden of these treatments has now fallen entirely on his immediate family.
My birthday wish this year is to help ease that burden for them. I’ve set up a fundraiser to gather contributions, and I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider donating to it. Every single contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference and is truly magnified in the Philippines.
