Donate to Ease Cailin’s Journey with PF

My name is Cailin. I am 51 years old. My lungs have been sick since May 2024. It started as empyema last May. I was air flown to Amarillo, Texas, where I was septic. My kidneys and heart were failing. I needed a chest tube, and it was placed into my lung. I was in the hospital for 12 days. I almost lost my life to this. My lungs have gotten worse over the year. I had some tests run, an X-ray, and a CT scan. My lungs are failing. My pulmonologist called me yesterday with some bad news. I have a disease that is called pulmonary fibrosis. It is where the lining of my lungs and the air sacs in my lungs become thickened. My lungs were already thickened because of how sick I was last May. My pulmonologist said this cannot be reversed, that my lungs will get worse, and they will give out. It is very hard for me to move air, so my oxygen is getting lower. My lungs are so far advanced into the PF that my lungs are terminal. My pulmonologist said with my lungs the way they are, my life expectancy is 3-5 years. My husband works full time, and I am on disability. I have a lot of medical bills and a lot of doctor appointments. We need a little help from you. My husband has to take off work to get me to my doctor appointments, and this is financially hard. I am asking for your donations to help with transportation to my doctor appointments, for the expensive medications that my insurance will not cover, and for some help with our rent and utilities. If you could please donate, I would be so grateful and appreciate you. Any donations will be a BIG help to me.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
